A glance at Bordeaux And Burgundy Wines.

First we have Bordeaux, this well known region in France close to the Southeast coast makes some of the finest and most famed red wines as well as white wines and pudding wines. Of these, the most prominent of the red wines come form Medoc, Saint-Emilion, and Pomerol. With the red wines of Bordeaux we sometimes see mixes including Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot and infrequently a little of Petit Verdot. The pudding wines and white wines from the Bordeaux area are typically of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillion. Some of the costliest and in demand wines come from the Bordeaux area including the world renowned Chateaux Lafite-Rothschild. The Bordeaux area is a diversified wine growing area with just about 10K wine making chateaux, and over 13 thousand wine growers. Bordeaux wines offer everything from the top spec wines like the Rothschild discussed above which merits the price it brings, to even the more common table wines that are even less costly but still of high quality. You cant screw up with a wine from this area. This significant area in the central-eastern area of France is found in the Rhone and Saone river valleys, with routes from Paris, the Rhineland and to the Mediterranean. Meat Burgundy Beyond these 2 culinary pleasures is the ever well-liked Meat burgundy and French Burgundy wine. Nothing goes better with this dish than the local Burgundy wine.

Red burgundy wines are usually made with the Pinot Noir grape while white burgundy wines are generally made with Chardonnay grapes.
